A Strong Advocate In Your Immigration Appeal
At Steven C. Thal, P.A., we represent clients in appeals before the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA), the Administrative Appeals Office (AAO), the Board of Alien Labor Certification Appeals (BALCA) and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit. We also handle federal court litigation of immigration issues.
Appeals are time-intensive, focused undertakings that require extensive resources to pursue. At our Minneapolis-area immigration law firm, we have the resources, knowledge and experience necessary to pursue immigration appeals effectively. We begin by conducting a thorough review of all trial court records. We then draft effective appellate briefs and argue the administrative appeal at the appellate hearing.
Should I Appeal My Case?
If you receive a denial notice from the AAO or BIA, it will advise you of your right to appeal. The notice will also provide the appropriate appeal form and information about strict deadlines that must be met to properly file an appeal.
You may have the right to appeal, but an appeal is not your only option. In addition to the right to appeal, you may file a motion to reopen or a motion to reconsider with the office that made the unfavorable decision. By filing these motions, you may ask the office to reexamine or reconsider its decision.
At Steven C. Thal, P.A., we can counsel you regarding the right decisions about your case. Deciding whether to appeal is potentially life-changing. We take the matter seriously and work diligently to protect your rights and interests. However, you must act quickly. Time is of the essence. You have only a short window of time to make your appeal decision. If you hesitate, you may lose your right to appeal your immigration case.
